A Arizona Grand Jury indicted many important friends to former president Donald Trump — including the former Trump attorney, and then New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and ex- Arizona Republican chair Kelli Ward and the former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows — for their role in debating the outcome of the presidential election in 2020.

Alongside Ward, Meadows, and Giuliani, as well as Ward, Meadows, and Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis and former Trump campaign advisor Boris Epshteyn, along with some people belonging to their respective parties, including the Arizona Republican Party, were among those charged According to Washington Post.

Others like Ward as well as Arizona state senators. Jake Hoffman (R) and Anthony Kern (R) were charged with a long time after they signed a document on the 14th of December the 14th of December, 2020, to confirm they believed Trump won the presidential election.

The indictment of various Trump allies and the Arizona’s Republican Party comes as a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll conducted between April 8 to 15 revealed that the president Joe Biden is trailing Trump in several states that are swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, Nevada as well as North Carolina by six or more points.

The results in Arizona, Trump led by seven points and received 49 percent support from voters who said they’d vote for him, whereas Biden was able to get 42 percent of the vote.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced the indictment via a video that was that was posted on X:

I will not permit American Democracy to get weakened. It’s too vital. The investigators and lawyers who were assigned to this case have taken the time necessary to discover the specifics of events that started almost 4 years ago. They followed the truth which led them and I’m extremely satisfied with their work so far. We’re here to provide justice to the steps that defendants and their unindicted co-conspirators have allegedly made to sabotage the vote of Arizona’s citizens in the presidential election of 2020. Arizona’s vote was fair and free. The voters of Arizona have elected the president of Arizona, Joe Biden. Biden.

The indictment of the Arizona grand jury is the latest in a string of attempts to utilize the legal system to punish conservatives and Republicans which Trump as well as other Republicans are fond of as Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) have called “weaponization.”

On July 20, 2023 Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel indicted sixteen “fake electors” with eight felonies which included the crime of conspiracy as well as election law fraud for their alleged role in attempting to contest the results of the presidential election in 2020.

A few months later, in December 2023 the Nevada juror indicted a number of high-ranking officials of Nevada’s Republican Party. Indicted members were charged with falsifying documents and submitting them related to”fake electors” plot “fake electors” plot.

“Fake” electors,” or “fake electors” have maintained that they are acting with sincerity believing that Trump was the winner in all the states.

One of the examples Trump’s allies have been pointing to is the presidential election in 1966 that was fought between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon.

Although Kennedy only narrowly held the presidency, an election recount was held in Hawaii because the first results indicated that Nixon was the winner in a narrow margin of 140 votes as per Politico.

While a recount was taking place when the electors for Nixon came together to cast 3 votes in support of Nixon. Three other voters for Kennedy were also present and signed a document stating that Kennedy was the winner of the state rather than Nixon.

The electors for Kennedy along with electors to Trump have also been reported to have employed similar words in their official documents.

In this case the verdict was reversed in favor of Kennedy.

The indictment of some close friends of Trump’s as well as some lawmakers of the Arizona GOP comes as Trump is currently in trial and is facing 34 charges of allegedly falsifying business records in the first instance in relation to payments made to porn model Stormy Daniels prior to the presidential election of 2016.

  • Kelli Ward, Former Arizona chair in the Republican Party, and her husband, Michael Ward.
  • Arizona State Sen. Jake Hoffman

  • Tyler Bowyer, Chief Operating Officer of Turning Point USA
  • Nancy Cottle
  • James Lamon
